Board Members
Chris Comer – President
I am a 1999 graduate of Louisiana Tech. Upon graduation, I was commissioned as a 2nd Lt in the USAF, where I served flying on AWACS providing command and control to U.S. and allied forces. I served a tour in Operation Iraqi Freedom, helping launch the war in March 2003. My awards include the Air Medal with one oak leaf cluster for the combat missions performed there.
After leaving the Air Force I moved to Austin, TX, to work as a purchaser for a major homebuilder and pursued an MBA from Baylor University.
I previously served as the CFO for two companies, one a juvenile corrections company and the other a major hospital. I was also the chairman of an Arkansas commission.
I’ve been married 24 years to my beautiful wife, Ashley, who is a teacher in Hallsville ISD. We have three children, Andrew, Austin, and Addison.
I joined Edward Jones in 2013 and opened a branch in Hallsville, TX, with Teresa Coats, a Senior Branch Office Administrator, in 2016.
My goal is to understand what’s most important to you and use an established process to build personalized strategies to help you achieve your goals. I will partner with you throughout your life to help keep you on track to reach those goals.
Susan Patterson -Vice President
Susan Patterson is a lifetime resident of Hallsville where she graduated in 1991. She has been married to her husband Ricky Patterson for 30 years. They have two beautiful daughters Chrissy and Ali. (And a recent addition of a son-in-law.) She enjoys reading, fishing, spending time with family and volunteering.
Michelle Jones – Treasurer
Michelle Jones is Assistant Vice President of Guaranty Bank & Trust. Michelle values building long-term relationships with her customers and being able to offer excellent service. This has been her goal throughout her 32 year banking career. She enjoys spending time with family, and being involved in the community.
Amy Fields – Secretary
Amy Fields is VP/Branch Manager of Legacy Ag Credit in Marshall and a lifetime resident of Hallsville. Her and her husband, David, have been married for 17 and have a son named Dawson, who is 15. She and her family spend most of their time away from work in the outdoors, hunting, fishing, caring for their livestock. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Matt Folmar – Board Member
Matt Folmar is an Independent Insurance Agent here in Hallsville and has opened a Rollo Insurance Agency here. Matt values his faith and his family. He enjoys taking care of others and helping them in a time of need. Him and his wife, Jessica, have been married 15 years and have 3 children, Shelby (12), Brooklyn (9) and Beau (3). He enjoys spending time with family, being at sporting events and livestock shows.

Bryan Todd -Board Member
Bryan Todd is a Tennessee native that has moved his family and businesses to East Texas. Bryan values God, Family, and Country. He has been married for 13 years to his wife Amanda and they have one son Justin. He is the outside sales manager at Hidalgo Granite Group inc here in Hallsville and is also Co-owner of the Graphic Design firm RT Graphix and owns the marketing firm Buzz Builderzz. Bryan spends his free time attending community events, coaching soccer, and golfing. He looks forward to growing his family and businesses right here in Hallsville.
